چکیده
In this study, the ignition and combustion characteristics of fast pyrolysis bio-oil (FPBO) are investigated in a research unit (CRU), which mainly consists constant-volume chamber. To fuel CRU with FPBO, n-butanol 2-ethylhexyl nitrate (EHN) used to improve atomization properties blends, respectively. first part an appropriate proportion EHN additive into is determined based on balance between improvement amount addition. Then, effects FPBO content (up 30%) FPBO/n-butanol blends same addition investigated. The chamber wall temperature also studied. Finally, different definitions indicators from pressure traces quantitatively depict including delay, phasing, end burn duration. Experimental results show that distinct two-stage process can be observed for all cases. For added EHN, increase could effectively advance both low- high-temperature reaction phases. However, gain obviously reduced when percentage becomes higher than 8%. proportions have little effect low-temperature phase, while they delay phase. Chamber significant influence processes tested blends. With these negative coefficient behavior was range 535–565°C.

A model for the combustion of butanol is studied using a recently developed theoretical method for the systematic improvement of the kinetic mechanism. The butanol mechanism includes 1446 reactions, and we demonstrate that it is straightforward and computationally feasible to implement a full global sensitivity analysis incorporating all the reactions. In addition, we extend our previous analys...
